Required Documents and Guidelines

1. Project Summary

IDDRC accepts projects that can be considered relevant to intellectual or developmental disabilities. Preference is for NIH-funded (especially NICHD-funded) projects, but other peer-review projects funded by other sponsors will be considered as long as they are clearly relevant to the Center mission.

        • Project Summary Template: Submit your summary using the Microsoft Word template below. (Limited to 1 page).
        • Review the Research Focus Areas (pdf) below for the types of research projects that are supported.
        • If submitting more than one research project, use separate summaries for each one.
        • Core Services: Each Research Project must utilize at least two cores of the IDDRC, which may include the Administrative Core and/or the Clinical Translational Core.

2. NIH Biosketch

The personal statement in your NIH Biosketch and your summary must both explain how your overall research program is relevant to intellectual or developmental disabilities.

3. Other Support

Other Support must include all areas required by the new NIH guidelines. Beginning with applications submitted on or after January 25, 2022, failure to follow the appropriate Biosketch format may cause NIH to withdraw your application from consideration.
