Brief Research Description
Dr. Ullrich's research is primarily focused on improving long-term survival and quality of life for children with brain tumors. She has completed several studies evaluating risk factors for neurologic late effects of childhood systemic cancer and brain tumors as well as the neuro-oncological aspects of NF1. She serves as the BCH PI of a multicenter NF Clinical Trials Consortium that has now opened several successful clinical trials as interventions for complications of NF1, including plexiform neurofibromas, brain tumors and cognitive difficulties.
