David Ginty, PhD

Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute; Associate Director of the Harvard Program in Neuroscience; Edward R. and Anne G. Lefler Professor of Neurobiology, Harvard Medical School.

Research Focus
Somatosensation in health and disease.
Brief Research Description
The sense of touch is key to our experience of the world around us. Research in the Ginty laboratory uses the mouse as a model system to address the development, organization, and function of mechanosensory neurons and the neural circuits that underlie the perception of touch and pain, in health and disease.
