As a developmental neuropsychologist, Dr. Mrakotsky's work has focused on improving the neurobehavioral health and development of children with chronic physical illnesses. She has programmatically studied neuroendocrine and neuroimmune factors in brain and cognitive development, funded both internally and through the NIH. In addition, through prior collaborations, she has been involved in the design and conduct of a large number of neuropsychological and laboratory emotional assessments of preschoolers with depression and autism.
